5 Key Takeaways From a Summit Full of High Level Multifamily Women

Multifamily Women® Summit 2021 Event Recap

After all the registrations, event marketing and bag stuffing – the Multifamily Women® Summit took off and soared this past week leaving many full of inspiration, personal growth and newfound connections!

We laughed, we cried, we got a little sweaty (thanks to our Day 1 Experience) and we even turned things upside down this year. Literally.

If you weren’t there to experience all the magic for yourself, we’re here to fill you in:

Day 1 started off with Wellness, Mindset and Fitness on the Paradise Park Lawn. Sarah Saglam (Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales Operations at LeaseHawk) led everyone through some mindfulness and breathwork exercises to get us through the day followed by a fun yet challenging workout by Swyft Fitness!

After these morning activities, the event really began when host Carrie Antrim, COO of Multifamily Leadership and Co-Founder of Multifamily Women®, took the stage. After some amazing opening remarks we started off with an interview with Dr. Cari Skrdla, experienced neuroscientist and Founder of LifeBack Consulting. She took us through the Mindset Quotient Test and explained how powerful the brain can truly be. After this, we listened to a session starring The Freemans, authors, relationship experts and coaches as they led us on a journey of balloon exercises, self-evaluation and learning how to communicate more effectively in your relationships.

Following a fun cocktail break, it was time for some special programming filled with great food, guests and live performances! We got to enjoy a special performance by young singer, Rosevelt Rawls, who advocates for ChildHelp and Operation Underground Railroad. She truly left the audience stunned and ready to make a difference.

Following dinner, Lyndsay Hailey, actor, comedian, writer and thought-leader, brought down the house with a hilarious and insightful keynote to end the night. Opening her keynote upside down in a chair gave everyone an opportunity to look at things just a little differently from now on!

At the start of Day 2, we learned what we all “Give a Damn” about – that’s at least how Stacy Stemen (Passco Companies) and Sarah Saglam (LeaseHawk) put it. We then followed up with some wise words from Cindy Fisher (Kettler) and Georgianna Oliver (Tour 24) about how to take your company from “A to Z”. In the afternoon, we asked Kim Senn Cross (The KSC Group) and Kaycee Kisling (Mark-Taylor) about the influence women have at the executive level. To end the day we spoke on shifting customer expectations and how work will change in the near future with Nicole Wray (Greystar) and Kesha Fisher (Greystar).

We want to give a huge shout out to our speakers and special guests! Thank you so much for always being at the top of your game and really showing up for our audience by sharing your knowledge with the world.

Also, let’s give a big thank you to everyone who attended this year. You came out ready and open to experience whatever was thrown at you and we hope you left with some valuable takeaways.

And of course we can’t forget our incredible sponsors. Thank you to Apartments.com, MRI Software, SmartRent, 365 Connect, BetterBot, Rently, Sugar, Social Kapture, LeaseHawk, CredHub, EventLab Studios, Chadwell Supply, Rent Dynamics, Multifamily Clients, Tour 24, The KSC Group, Dish Fiber, Continental Properties, IMT Residential, Passco Companies, LLC., Mark-Taylor, Inc., Artisan Management Group and Carter Haston for supporting this event. Your support of the advancement of Multifamily Women® in our industry is truly appreciated and inspiring.

Beyond all of the amazing sessions, speakers, cocktail hours and more – I think we can all say what we walked away with was a network of industry leaders to learn from and lean on.

Until next year Multifamily Women!
